The Level 3 Diploma in Dog Breeding, Litter Socialisation and Welfare consists of six mandatory units:
Unit 366: Canine Health, Anatomy and Behaviour for Breeders (5 credits)
Unit 367: Principles of Professional Competency in Dog Breeding (5 credits)
Unit 341: Canine Care and Welfare in Pregnancy (5 credits)
Unit 342: Whelping and Aftercare (3 credits)
Unit 343: Litter Socialisation for Breeders (5 credits)
Unit 368: Practical Breeding and Placement of Puppies (14 credits)
If you have undertaken the Level 3 Certificate in Dog Breeding, Litter Socialisation & Welfare, you have already completed units 341, 342 and 343. You can enrol on the final 3 units to secure your Diploma for a reduced fee of £1250

Who is this course for?
This course is for anybody looking to expand upon their dog breeding knowledge and practical skills. To complete the practical elements of this qualification, you will need access to a breeding bitch and her litter, although this doesn’t have to be your own, and the practical unit is a floating unit to allow for mother nature to work her magic at her convenience.
How is this course delivered?
This course is delivered via a combination of home study and live virtual classroom sessions. You will be supported by your tutor and given the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance on any of elements of the course you need additional help with.
How long will it take me to complete the course?
The time this course takes to complete will vary from student to student, on average it takes approx 18 months. As a guide, we anticipate approx 100 hours of guided learning and a total qualification time of 370 hours.
I’ve already completed and passed the Level 3 Certificate in Dog Breeding, Litter Socialisation & Welfare. How do I top up to achieve a Diploma?
As a candidate who’s already completed the Level 3 Certificate, you are eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). To attain your Diploma, you will need to complete units 366, 367 and 368.

How are students assessed?
Assessment for the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Breeding, Litter Socialisation & Welfare will be completed with your tutor. To qualify, you need to complete the units and produce a portfolio of evidence which you will be guided and supported on.
